Explain what is meant by ‘diversity and inclusion’ in the context of digital literacy.

Being aware that all learners are unique and need to be treated with respect is part of accepting their diversity. This is especially true with adult learners who will have a wealth of past experiences some of which may be negative.

Being inclusive is about providing equal opportunities for all students to achieve their full potential.

Construct learning materials in a way that all students can access. This may mean using a number of devices and having the material available in a number of ways so that all can access equally.
Using language that is familiar through a number of tools that every student can use.
Creating a supportive learning environment and encourage learners to work collaboratively to help break down barriers
